About the event

The Houlihan features some of the US' toughest teams of cowboys competing in events that are designed to test the cowboy's skills in everyday ranch work. This ranch rodeo is excitement for the whole crowd! The Houlihan is one of the top paying Ranch Rodeos in America! 

During the weekend, we not only have the Houlihan Ranch Rodeo, we also host a western trade show, Team Roping, Stock Dog trials, live music, great food, dummy roping for the kids, The Cowboy Challenge event and are adding a women's ranch rodeo on Sunday!

Its a jampacked weeked of western culture and fun for the whole family! 

Why should you sponsor?

As a sponsor, you will be helping keep this historic cowboy tradition alive and introducing the western culture to the youth as well! The weekend of The Houlihan is a wonderful place for families of all diffrent walks of life to enjoy! 

The western culture is at a high right now thanks to Yellowstone and other popular shows alike. Everyone loves the "cowboy culture" . This helps you as a sponsor gain exposure through events like The Houlihan.

Not only will you have exposure durring this weekend , but you will though out the whole year. WES Arena holds multiple events. We are well known for our NCHA cuttings inwhich we hold 9 a year ; we also are the home of East Texas Stock Horse, and host other events such as NRCHA, RSNC and team roping events. We are a large equine facility with 52 RV hook ups, 300 stalls , 3 arenas in which 2 are covered. Not to mention we are an in house concessions proudly serving our own beef grew at WES Feeders and Melissa Feeders.

I am and producer of the Houlihan Ranch Rodeo. 

I have worked for WES Arena and Melissa Feeders for 8 years. I grew up in the western life style, working hard . The owners of MF and WES are very involved in the community by educating and supporting the youth. They are also very passionate about the lifestyle and growing the industry. 

I grew up in the cowboy/ western culture and am very pastionate about this industry. This is what led me to create the Houlihan. I want to educate youth , and locals of the western culture as well as give the community and competitors a place to enjoy!
